2006 Sunday 05 NovemberExpansion of cooperation between the Tehran and Damascus disciplinary guardsIran Press News: The regime-run news agency, Fars reported: Ismail Ahmadi-Moghaddam, the commandant of the Islamic republic’s disciplinary guards and police, in his visit to Syria met withBasam Abdel-Majid, the minister of interior of Syria where he announced the Islamic republic’s readiness to provide equipment and technology to Syria on the security front. According to this report the two discussed the expansion of their cooperation and exchange of expertise in their meeting. Ahmadi-Moghaddam also emphasized the importance of continued visits between the two sides with the goal of increasing the capabilities and skills of the internal security forces and police. The Syrian minister then stated that the cooperation between the two countries echoes the depth of close relations between Syria and the leaders of the Islamic Republic. |
