2006 Sunday 05 NovemberTwo students receive written reprimands by university disciplinary committeeIran Press News: The Tehran University disciplinary committee has issued written reprimands for 2 students that will be also added to their academic files. Vahid Abedini, one the students told the regime-run news agency ILNA’s reporter: “The disciplinary committee has issued myself and Ahmad Khodawdad, one of my fellow students, written reprimands for taking part in the protest against the forced retirement of professors from the university’s school of literature.” He said that 54 students have been summoned to the disciplinary committee and added: “The issue goes back to the month of June this year; we are being charged with ‘taking part in illegal gatherings’ and ‘disrupting the order of the university’ “. Prior to this Seyed Hossein Javdani, another Tehran University student was suspended for 2 terms and prohibitted from studying, by the disciplinary committee. |
