2006 Tuesday 12 DecemberAn American member of the Ku Klux Klan travels to Tehran to participate in the Holocaust conferenceIran Press News: According to a French report on AFP, the Holocaust conference organized by the Islamic regime was kicked off on Monday morning, December 11th. Presiding over the conference is Manouchehr Motaki, foreign minister of Islamic Republic. This conference has met with the widespread objection of the international community. At the invitation of the ministry of foreign affairs by order of Ahmadinejad, a large number of known European and American racists are participating. More than 60 "researchers and academics" from 30 countries of the world are in attendance. The French news agency wrote that among the guest speakers of this conference are French Holocaust-denier Robert Faurisson who has had many convictions in French courts for his active denial of the Holocaust. The German-Australian Frederick Toben who spent prison time in Germany for denying the Holocaust is another of the participants in the conference. American Ku Klux Klan member, David Duke also attended and made his speech on Monday, the first day of the conference. Also, from New York, the American Rabbi Yisroel Dovid Weiss who met with Ahmadinejad during the September visit of Ahmadinejad to the U.N.’s annual general assembly gathering. Rabbi Weiss is a member of 'Jews United Against Zionism’ claimed that the meeting was an opportunity to discuss the World War II genocide in an atmosphere free of what it termed Western taboos. The Islamic Republic had held off announcing the names and identities of the invitees of the conference assuming that the passports of those attending the conference would be confiscated by their governments. This is of course a prevalent practice by officials of the Islamic regime themselves. The gathering is being condemned by a large number of Iranian activists and scholars inside Iran as “the assembly of the most hateful forces on the planet”. |
