Teachers' Union members arrested in Yazd city

Members of the Board of Directors of the Teachers' Union in the city of Yazd have been arrested and or summoned by officials.

In recent days, the following individuals were either arrested or summoned by officials:

1- Mohammad Ali Shirazi, a member of the Board of Directors arrested on 23 May and released after seven days. He was on a hunger strike for four days during his detention by a security-intelligence unit of the Revolutionary Guards.
2- Mohammad Mahdi Sadighi, a member of the union arrested on 29 May and interrogated from 10am until 11pm.
3- Mr Ghouchani, summoned by the same IRGC unit on 30 May and released after half an hour.
4- Masoud Mirzaei, despite having been summoned, he has not referred to the relevant body.
5- Mr Nejati, a member of the union summoned but told after a few hours that there was no longer a need for his referral.
