Desparate workers in the city of Mash’had dig graves to get by

Iran Press News: Dozens of workers from Zowb Record, a metal smelting company gathering in the city of Mash’had, in front of the labor organization of the province of Khorassan-Razavi, announced that they have not received their wages for 7 months.

Javad Samimi, the workers representative told the reporter from the regime-run news agency ILNA: “The management of the company has neither paid the workers wages since March, nor have they paid their [unemployment] insurance. The company closed a month ago and the workers are all in limbo. Many of the company’s workers, other than working at their jobs at the plant during the last seven months, also worked second jobs doing such things as digging graves, hauling packages and taking passengers on the backs of motorbikes, to get by.”
