News of suspension of the verdict of stoning and lapidation denied

Iran Press News: The Ministry of Justice Islamic republic denied the news about the suspension of the verdict of stoning and lapidation.

The regime-run newspaper Jomhuri’yeh Islami the mouthpiece of the supreme leader, Khamenei, in its Sunday, December 3rd issue wrote: “Media advisor to the minister of justice, Karimi-Rod, denied the news reported by French radio about the suspension of the issuance of the verdict of stoning and lapidation. In response to a question on the implementation of the verdict of stoning, the advisor said that Mr. Karimi-Rod has said that for the moment there is no such case, but he did not rule out the implementation of this verdict if necessary."

It is worth mentioning Jamal Karimi-Rod in his press conference on November 21st said: "The issue of stoning is not a new issue; in our country the verdict of stoning is simply is not implemented.”
