Islamic regime pressures Ahmad Batebi and his family

Iran Press News: According to reports, student activist Ahmad Batebi who is currently imprisoned in the infamous ward 209 of Tehran’s Evin prison which is run by agents and torturers of the Islamic regime’s ministry of intelligence and security (MOIS), is still being put under great pressure.

Batebi who had been on a medical furlough from prison was re-arrested on July 29th; he has been in detention for more than 130 days. Batebi suffers from kidney disease, major spinal and dermatological problems, among others and requires serious medical treatment which the MOIS officials continues to vehemently refuse him.

On the other hand, MOIS continues to threaten and pressure Batebi’s family demanding that they refuse legal representation; they have also repeatedly told them not to discuss Ahmad’s situation with either the media or any of the human rights groups, otherwise, they too will be arrested.
