Scheduled execution of a youth who committed a crime when he was 16

Iran Press News: On Wednesday, December 13th, the Islamic regime’s supreme court sentenced a youth for a crime that he committed when he was only 16 years of age.

According to the regime-run news site ISKA NEWS, the now 18-year-old Hossein was arrested 2 years ago for murder.

This regime site wrote: "The defendant who was 16 years old 10, sat in court on November 1st, in Tehran’s criminal court branch; he accepted his guilt and his sentence to death as it was handed down by the judge Aziz Mohammadi and 4 advisors. On Wednesday, December 13th the verdict was confirmed and issued by the supreme court Branch 31 and as such closed the chapter of the young man’s life. "

International human rights organizations have repeatedly requested that the Islamic republic stop issuing death sentences for individuals who commit crimes while underage.
