Saudis refuse Iranian currency from Iranian pilgrims to Mecca

Iran Press News: The regime-run sit Nosaazi reported: After the ratification of the U.N. security council resolution against Iran, shop owners in the Saudi Arabian cities of Mecca and Medina refused to accept Rials (Iran’s currency unit) from Iranian pilgrims.

Saudi merchants described their refusal of Iranian Rials as related to the Security Council resolution and the vague and unstable future of Iran's nuclear program.

It is important to mention that the Saudi merchants’ dealings with Iranian pilgrims continued for 2 days after the U.N. security council draft resolutions; the merchants referred the Iranian pilgrims to currency exchange outlets who also refused Iranian currency.
