Thursday 03 April 2008Assault and battery conduces to extensive hunger strikes in Orumieh’s prisonHuman rights activists inside Iran Today, 4/2/2008, political prisoners who protested against the management system and manager of twelfth division of Orumieh’s central prison which is the division for political prisoners faced with assault and battery of the prison’s guardsmen and ten objector prisoners who were Kurdish and Turkish activists and followers of Ahle-Hagh religion were transferred to an unidentified location. The following list contains the names of transferred prisoners: 1- Gholamhosein Khan Abdali It has to be mentioned that these transferred political prisoners have announced their hunger strike in objection to this condition during the relocation. However, four political prisoners who are Mehdi Ghasemzadeh, Abdullah Ghasemzade, Bakhshali Mohammadi and Sahand Ali-Mohammadi had been on hunger strike since five days before the relocation. |
