Human Rights House of IRAN, The family of death row Kurdish prisoner Aziz Mohammadzadeh has not been able to get any information on his condition for the past 11 months despite their constant referrals to the judicial authorities.
Aziz Mohammadzadeh has been sentenced to death for membership in a Kurdish group and acting against national security in the Saghez Court. He had gone on a hunger strike 7 months ago in order to protest his sentence.
According to RAHANA, Mohammadzadeh was transferred to an undisclosed location on Fenruary 24, 2009 after his hunger strike. Since then, there has been no news on his condition. His family has no information as to his health or whereabouts.
Mohammadzadeh, 26, was sentenced to death for Moharebeh (waging war against God) and acting against national security. He is from the city of Baneh and was arrested in October of 2009 by the security forces and transferred to the Baneh Detention Center.
After 3 months of psychological and physical pressure, he was transferred to the Saghez Prison. His family is concerned about his condition since they have not heard from him for the past 7 months.
