HRANA,
One week after the arrest of Feyz’ullah Rowshan, a Baha’i living in Sari [provincial capital of Mazandaran], there is still no disclosed information about his situation.
According to HRANA, the one-week period of detention determined for Feyz’ullah Rowshan ended January 22nd, but he was not released and his family has not been informed about the reason for his arrest.
[Since] Feyz’ullah Rowshan suffers from diabetes, last week, the interrogator in charge of his case authorized in writing that his family [is permitted] to bring him clothing and his diabetes medicine. But when his family took his medicine to the prison, the officers refused to accept anything, stating that all the necessities are already available in [the prison].
His family’s numerous visits to the court during the past week have been fruitless. The authorities have avoided providing straight answers and even refused to let his lawyer meet with him.
