Mehdi Khodaei in Prison and Deprived of Prison Leave

Mehdi Khodaei is serving his 7 year prison sentence while he has been deprived of furlough.

Human rights and student activist Mehdi Khodaei has been detained since February of last year and has been sentenced to 7 years in prison. Despite the issuance of his verdict and spending one year in confinement, he has not been granted prison leave. According to the Human Rights House of Iran, he is confined in Ward 350 and is able to have a cabin visit with his family every Tuesday. He is derived of calling his family similar to the other Ward 350 prisoners. He was arrested last February and sentenced to 3 years in prison. He was also later sentenced to 4 years in prison in another case.
