Afshin Osanloo, brother of imprisoned trade union activist Mansour Osanloo, has reportedly been abducted by plain-clothed forces at Tehran’s Southern Bus Terminal.
Early reports suggest that he was taken to the notorious Evin prison in north Tehran, yet prison officials have until now declined to provide any information about Afshin Osanloo.
Mansour Osanloo is the head of the Syndicate of Workers of Tehran and Suburbs Bus Company, an independent union that has been campaigning vigorously for workers rights. The leading trade-union activist who has been imprisoned several times during the past seven years, has been in prison since in July 2007.
