LINCOLN, Neb. -- An Iranian-American journalist who was imprisoned in Iran when accused of spying for the United States will share her experiences at a lecture later this month at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
Roxana Saberi spent 100 days in custody in Tehran in 2009 after the false accusations.
Her free lecture, titled "Courage Under Fire," is scheduled for April 14 at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln's Mary Riepma Ross Media Arts Center.
In a book about her experiences, Saberi wrote of seeing the "dark and bright sides of human nature" during her months in prison.
In May 2009, Saberi was freed after receiving a two-year suspended sentence on appeal.
