Iran Human Rights: One man was hanged in the southwest Iranian city of Ahwaz, reported the state run Iranian news agency Fars today.
The man who was identified as "Karim Kh." was convicted of keeping 220 grams of heroin according to the report.
The execution took place on Saturday April 9th inside the prison of Ahwas, said the report.
Iran Human Rights emphasizes that people charged with drug related offences in Iran are tried in revolutionary courts behind the closed doors and their charges are not confirmed by independent sources.
