Iran pipes joint oilfield with Oman to Bandar Abbas refinery

Tehran, May 14 - The managing director for Bandar Abbas oil refinery Mohammad Ali Mojtahedzadeh has announced that the Hengam joint oilfield with Oman was now connected by pipeline to Bandar Abbas, southern Iran, to supply it with crude oil.

Mojtahedzadeh told the official news agency IRNA on Thursday that the Bandar Abbas oil refinery and Offshore Oil company had laid about 160km of pipeline for this purpose.

He added that the Bandar Abbas refinery was currently receiving 18,000 barrels per day and that this is due to increase to 30,000 bpd by the end of the current Persian calendar year.
