Iran started its first underground natural-gas storage facility with an annual capacity for 3.3 billion cubic meters of gas, Press TV reported yesterday.

Five to seven million cubic meters of natural gas a day will be injected during the first six months of the year at the facility in the Sarajeh region of Qom province, the state-run channel reported, citing Javad Owji, managing director of National Iranian Gas Co.
