Women’s rights and One Million Campaign activist Mahboubeh Karami has returned to Evin Prison in order to serve her 3 year prison sentence.
Based on the summons order that Karami had received last week, she had to appear at the Evin Prison in order to begin serving her sentence.
According to the Human Rights House of Iran, the appeals court reduced her 4 year sentence to 3 years in prison. She has been sentenced for her human rights activities, anti-regime propaganda, assembly and conspiracy to act against national security and libel.
She had previously been arrested on numerous occasions.
