A delegation of Iranian ministers headed by Deputy President Mohammad Reza Rahimi has visited Baghdad and signed six memoranda of understanding on information technology, health, and culture with Iraq.
Rahimi told Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri Al-Malii that Iraq does not need the U.S. to guarantee its security, and that Iran is prepared to assist it in infrastructure, oil, and construction.Al-Maliki said that tightening relations between the two countries would help regional stability.
