Iranian TV has reported that Iran has amassed 5,000 soldiers along its border with Iraqi Kurdistan.
According to reports, this move came after Kurdish President Massoud Barzani gave some 300,000 hectares of land to the Kurdish separatist opposition organization Pajak, which opposes the Iranian regime.
Iraqi Ambassador to Iran, Muhammad Majid Al-Sheikh, said that his country would not permit Pajak to attack Iran from its territory.
