Ali Aqazadeh Dafsari, a member of the Iranian Parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, reported the incident but did not say when it happened.
Dafsari accused the CIA, the U.S. intelligence agency, of trying to establish the location of the Fordo nuclear enrichment site.
The report came a day after Tehran announced that new centrifuges are being installed at the nuclear facility to speed up uranium enrichment.
Iranian authorities have acknowledged the existence of the Fordo nuclear facility but did not identify its location. Reports said the site is underneath a mountain at a depth of 295 feet.
The U.S. and its allies have imposed sanctions on Iran for the latter’s nuclear program. Washington has accused Tehran of developing nuclear weapons, but Iran denied this and claimed that its nuclear program aims to generate electricity and medical isotopes.
