Al-Hariri's Office: Iran Working to Hobble STL

The office of former Lebanese prime minister Sa'd Ali-Hariri rejected statements by the Iranian foreign ministry and said that they constitute an Iranian attempt to hobble the Special Tribunal for Lebanon, and prevent it from serving justice.

The Iranian foreign ministry had said that the Special Tribunal for Lebanon, which is investigating the assassination of former Lebanese prime minister Rafiq Al-Hariri, is political and valueless.

Al-Hariri's office also expressed its hope that the merger of Iran and Hizbullah did not result in Iran providing asylum to the suspects in the Rafiq Al-Hariri assassination.
