Poet, translator and women’s rights activist Faranak Farid has been arrested in Tabriz. Faranak Farid, editor in chief of the banned publication Dilmaj, has been arrested.
According to the Human Rights House of Iran, the civil protest to save Lake Oroumiyeh, became violent by the security forces.
Farid who had gone out for personal reasons was arrested.
There is no information as to her whereabouts or the reason for the arrest.
