On September 25, another border carrier in Kurdistan died in the Orumieh hospital after being directly shot by security forces.
According to reports from Orumieh, Soleiman Moradi known as Haji Soureh from a village in Piranshahr was shot at by security forces and was severely wounded. He was transferred to a hospital in Orumieh but because of the severity of his wounds, passed away 15 days later. This Kurd carrier had lost one of his legs before this after a mine explosion in the mountainous borders of Kurdistan but he was forced to go back to the dangerous occupation of carrying goods on his back to make a living.
