Iran Human Rights: One prisoner was hanged in the prison of Ardebil northwestern Iran early Tuesday morning October 4.
According to the official website of the judiciary in Ardebil, the prisoner who wasn’t identified by name, was convicted of buying and carrying 990 grams of heroin.
The charges are not confirmed by independent sources.
According to the official Iranian sources, at least 12 prisoners have been executed so far in October.
