Tuesday 08 November 2011'Iran will battle Zionists on streets of Tel Aviv'Ynetnews As the clock continues to tick ahead of the release of a UN Nuclear watchdog report on Iran's nuclear program, Tehran continues to issue threats against Israel. A member of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee on Tuesday said that if the Jewish State attacks the Islamic Republic, "Iranian soldiers would fight Zionist soldiers on the streets of Tel Aviv and expel them from Palestine," Fars news agency reported. Hossein Naqavi further warned that "Iranian forces will fiercely fight its enemies on the continents of Europe and America, if need be." The IAEA report is slated to be released on Wednesday or Thursday, and will probably reveal the military nature of the Islamic Republic's nuclear program. 'Israel inching closer to demise' Also on Tuesday, Revolutionary Guard chief Yadullah Javani warned Israel that if it attacks Iranian soil, "it will inch closer to its own demise. "If the Zionist regime makes that mistake, it will determine its own final days. The Islamic Republic is a powerful country that can protect its sovereignty around the world, and especially in the Middle East," he said. Javani also hinted that in case of an attack, Iran will mobilize support from Hezbollah and other terror organizations, saying that Tehran has "the means to give the Zionist regime a crushing response from proximate locations." In an interview with Fars, the Revolutionary Guard general noted that "Israel always threatens Iran, but never takes action." Iranian Defense Minister Ahmad Wahidi also commented on the high tension between the countries, saying "Israel's threats are noting but media propaganda that stems from internal disputes. We are prepared for any military confrontation," he said. |
