Iran Human Rights: One man was hanged in the prison of Varamin yesterday morning January 5, reported the Iranian state media.
According to the state run Mehr news agency, the man who was identified as Nazar Ali Moradi (53 years old) was onvicted of keeping 215 grams of heroin and 10 kilograms of opium. The execution took place in the Khorin prison of Varamin, said the report.
According to the official and unofficial reports at least 34 prisoners have been executed during the first five days of the the year 2012.
