WASHINGTON - Top U.S. intelligence officials are telling Congress that a series of recent bombings in Syria had "all the earmarks" of an al-Qaida attack.
Director of National Intelligence James Clapper that's led the U.S. intelligence community to believe the Iraqi branch of al-Qaida is extending its reach into Syria. He also notes that the terrorist group could go after Syria's network of chemical weapons sites.
On Iran, Clapper and Defense Intelligence Agency chief Lt. Gen. Ronald Burgess are telling senators that Iran is unlikely to initiate or intentionally provoke a conflict. They are also saying that they do not believe Israel has decided to strike Iran.
Clapper says while it's "technically feasible" that Tehran could produce a nuclear weapon in a year or two, it's "practicchool. School district officials are not yet providing any details.
The bus ended up upright against a large pole at the intersection. The bus is indented where it hit the pole.
Chesterfield police are expected to provide more details later Thursday.
