Russia Shipped 63,000 Tons of Wheat to Iran

A Russian vessel carrying 63,000 metric tons of wheat headed to Iran last week from the Black Sea port of Novorossiysk, SovEcon said, citing data from shipping agent TransAgent.

It’s the biggest one-time shipment of Russian wheat to Iran for the marketing year that started on July 1, the Moscow-based researcher said today. Russia has shipped more than 100,000 tons of wheat to the Islamic republic this season, according to SovEcon’s website.
