Ynetnews - President Shimon Peres expressed hope during a state dinner held for his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, that the leader would contribute to the achievement of peace in the region. He also noted Putin's "warm attitude" towards the Jewish state.
He added: "The Iranian people are not our enemy. Israel does threaten their existence. It is Iran's current regime that indentifies itself as an enemy of Israel and a threat to its existence." (Attila Somfalvi)
