In a recent speech at Shiraz University, Ayatollah Haeri Shirazi insisted that Quran must serve as the basis for all humanities topics taught as part of the academic curriculum.
He maintained that students in humanities bear great responsibility for endorsing Islamic doctrine, which in his view is far more advanced than secular humanities.
