According to the reports by Free Union of Iranian Workers, Haft Tapeh Sugar Cane Factory workers went on strike on May 16 following their April wages not having been paid and the 25 percent increase ratified for the minimum wages not included in their wage stubs.
The workers also have demanded the implementation of their job categorizations which keeps getting postponed by the management at Haft Tapeh. The workers have vowed to continue the strike until meeting their demands.
