HRANA News Agency – Esmail Ali Mirzai, the administrator of the West Azerbaijan branch of the Mosharekat party has been arrested by the intelligence forces.
According to a report by Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), he has been arrested on Friday 17th May afternoon.
The intelligence agents have raided into his house and taken him to an unknown place.
He had been threatened by the telephone calls before, while he was trying to invite Khatami and Rafsanjani to register as the candidates of the presidential elections.
Mr. Ali Mirzai was a member of teachers’ Islamic association of West Azerbaijan and the governor of Sardasht.
His family has no information about his condition yet.
A source which wanted to be unknown said to HRANA: “He is believed to be in the intelligence detention center of Urmiye and under pressure and torture.”
