Three student activists have been arrested in the city of Shiraz, human rights reports suggest.
According to the Committee of Human Rights Reporters, three students were arrested after a campaign rally held in Shiraz in support of presidential candidate Hassan Rohani.
Following a rally at the city’s Dastgheib stadium on Tuesday, a group of youth and university students began to chant slogans demanding the release of political prisoners when they were attacked by plain-clothed security forces who arrested three student activists, Mohammad Reza Vahedi, Azita Rasi-Firouzzadeh and Mahdi Farmani.
There is currently no information about their place of detention.
