Rohani says problems will not be resolved overnight

ILNA: Iranian president-elect Hassan Rohani has said that problems will not be resolved overnight

In a meeting with Majlis speaker Ali Larijani, Rohani said that problems should be gradually addressed through consulting with experts.

The two sides need for resolving economic problems in the society.

Centrist Hassan Rohani was elected as Iran’s next president, a day after an election marked by a high turnout of 72.7 percent.

Rohani, who had been endorsed by former presidents Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani and Mohammad Khatami, won 50.71 percent of the vote, far outpacing the other candidates.

Mohammad Soltanifar, a member of Rohani’s electoral campaign team, said on Sunday that the press conference would be held on Monday at the Expediency Council’s Center for Strategic Research.

Rohani currently represents Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei in the Supreme National Security Council, and is a member of the Expediency Council and the Assembly of Experts. He is also the director of the Expediency Council’s Center for Strategic Research.
