Saeed Jalalifar released on furlough with 4 other prisoners

Committee of Human Rights Reporters – Saeed Jalalifar, Behnam Ebrahimzadeh, Ali Amini, Morteza Khosravirad and Farah Vazehan were released from prison today on a 4-day furlough.

According to CHRR, Saeed Jalalifar, member of Committee of Human Rights Reporters was granted furlough today June 26, after enduring almost 2 years behind bars.

Human rights activist Saeed Jalalifar was arrested on November 30th, 2009 during the time of mass protests in the aftermath of the contested presidential elections. He was released on bail from Evin prison on March 16th, 2010 after spending months in temporary custody under interrogations.

Jalalifar was later handed a 3-year prison sentence on the charges of “illegal gathering” and “propaganda against the regime.” On July 31, 2011 he was arrested and transferred to Evin prison after he presented himself at the Revolutionary Court in Tehran to prevent the reversal of his bail.
