Iran native living in Fairfax County killed in cell tower fall

WAYNESBORO, Va. (AP) - Waynesboro police have identified a worker who was killed in a fall from a cell tower.

The police department said Monday in a news release that the victim was 37-year-old Payman Biazarikari. Police say Biazariki was a native of Iran who was living in Fairfax County with family members. He is believed to have been in the U.S. on a visa for about two weeks.

Biazarikari fell about 160 feet from a cell tower at nTelos' headquarters in Waynesboro on Aug. 7. He was pronounced dead at a local hospital. Police say he was a contractor who worked for Summit Tower Construction in Staunton.

The investigation is continuing.
