Committee of Human Rights Reporters – Hakimeh Shokri, political prisoner, returned to Evin prison after 7 days of furlough.
According to CHRR, Hakimeh Shokri an activist who is a member of Mourning Mothers of Laleh Park was granted furlough on August 5, 2013 and returned to prison on August 12.
Hakimeh Shokri was detained on December 5, 2010 along with others who had gathered at Behesht Zahra cemetery to mark the anniversary of the death of Amir-Arshad Tajmir, one of the victims who lost his life during the protests following the 2009 disputed presidential elections. Most of the detained were later released but Hakimeh Shokri was held in solitary confinement in Evin’s ward 209 [under jurisdiction of IRGC] and underwent harsh negotiations for over 2 months before being released on bail. On April 11, 2012 the Tehran Revolutionary Court presided by Judge Moghiseh handed her a 6-year prison sentence on the charges of “propaganda against the regime,” and “acting against national security.” On October 20, 2012 the activist presented herself at prison and began serving her term.
