Baku-APA. Iran and Iraq reached an agreement on drilling cooperation in the Iranian city of Ahwaz, APA reports quoting Iranian Press TV.
The agreement was signed on Monday by Managing Director of the National Iranian Drilling Company (NIDC) Hamid-Reza Golpayegani and Deputy Director-General of the Iraqi Drilling Company Mohammed Ahmed Rubaie.
According to the agreement, the NIDC will undertake training for Iraqi companies in drilling operations, using electronic systems as well as fluid mechanics engineering.
"The drilling industry is one of the major pillars in producing oil and gas, and plays a major role in discovering, developing and exploiting oil fields," Golpayegani said.
