Sunday 06 October 2013Three Gonabadi Dervishes were deported for life
Majzooban Noor - Three Gonabadi Dervishes, residents of Kavar county in Fars province were sentenced to deportation forever by Shiraz's Revolutionary Court on the charge of moharebeh (enmity with God). According to Majzooban Noor, the Branch 2 of Shiraz Revolutionary Court issued its verdicts against three Gonabadi Dervishes, Messrs. Hamid-Reza Arayesh, Kazem Dehghan and Mohammad-Ali Shamshirzan, convicting all of them to life in exile. They are charged with "moharebeh (enmity with God)", "spreading corruption on the earth", "membership in illegal group (being Dervish/ friary!) and "assembly and collusion with the intent to disrupt national security". According to a judgment issued by the Revolutionary Court in Shiraz, the trial judge Mr. Yazdanian confirmed their charges, by relying on Article 289, clause (ت) of Article 279, have condemned Kazem Dehghan, Hamid-Reza Arayeshand and Mohammad-Ali Shamshirzan to a life of exile respectively in three provinces of Sistan and Baluchestan, Khuzestan and Hormozgan (Bandar Abbas). According to article 279 of the Islamic Penal Code, Moharebeh is defined as "drawing a weapon on the life, property or chastity of people or to cause terror as it creates the atmosphere of insecurity." As well as mohareb must be monitored in exile, do not communicate and socialize with others. It should be mentioned that, in Shahrivar 1390 (September 2011) the cleric (Mohammad-Reza Shahbazi) along with his colleague (Ali-Reza Ghaemi) begun a widespread propaganda against Islamic mysticism by delivering CD which is all insult to the Dervishes, called on citizens to demonstrate against Dervishes. With an illegal movement which was against religious principles, he called for a demonstration without a valid licence from the authorities, the hardliners gathered before the houses of the Dervishes in town of Kavar, near Shiraz in Fars province, insulting them that resulted in a contention in which a Dervish (Vahid Banani) was killed by shot gun and several were wounded. Since then there have been a great amount of arrest and pressure on Gonabadi Dervishes during which 100 have been arrested, tortured and tried on charges of "moharebeh (enmity with God)", "spreading corruption on the earth", "membership in illegal group (being Dervish/ friary!). Dervishes' civil rights and national security have never been observed and harassments of Gonabadi Dervishes have still continued with unprecedented intensity as some time ago a troubling new movement against the Dervishes was started by some anti-sufi fanatics and enemies of real Sufism Islamic Mysticism in the town of Kavar. Basiji students in Theology sprayed graffiti on the walls of Dervishes's houses and work-places and unfortunately despite all complaint of Dervishes there is no arrest and judiciary process on those who caused all these conflicts. |
