HRANA News Agency – Afshin Baymani the political prisoner of ward 12 of Rajai Shahr prison got heart attack and was transferred to the prison clinic yesterday morning.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Afshin Baymani has spent more than 13 years in prison and got heart attack yesterday morning at 9 o’clock and was taken to the clinic by other prisoners.
An informed source told to HRANA’s reporter: “Since there is no specialist in the clinic and the clinic is very dirty so he asked to be returned to the ward.”
The human rights activists have been warning about his health condition several times.
Afshin Baymani had been arrested on September 5, 2000 and was sentenced to death on charge of helping his brother, Mehdi Baymani, to flee.
The death sentence was confirmed by the appeal court but was reduced to life prison after 6 years.
