HRANA News Agency – Farzad Madadzadeh, who had spent his 5 years imprisonment sentence without any furlough, is confronted with prevention from being released. According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Farzad Madadzadeh, the political prisoner of hall number 12 of Rajaei Shahr prison of Karaj who was supposed to be released on January 23, is confronted with authorities’ prevention. Friends and relatives who were waiting for him in front of the prison have been informed by the prison authorities that he has an open case. One of them told to HRANA’s reporter: “Farzad Madadzadeh aligns with Saleh Kohandel, Mohammad Ali (Pirouz) Mansouri and another political prisoner had been transferred to ward 209 of Evin and charged with propaganda against the government. Few months later, following the order of revolutionary court, all four prisoners acquitted from the allegation. Now, the prison’s bureau of sentences administration is saying that his name is not on the list. While the arrest order of court was for two months and even supposedly his name is being missed, it is about two years that have passed from the issuance date and he should be released.” Farzad Madadzadeh and his sister Shabnam Madadzadeh were arrested by intelligence and security forces, on February 19, 2009, and sentenced to 5 years in prison. |
