HRANA News Agency – During the latest trial, Judge Salavati refused to release Maryam Shafipoor on bail and she was returned to Evin prison. During the trial, the relatives of Maryam Shafipoor were not allowed to attend the hearing, but her lawyer was allowed to accompany this student activist. The officials said that she will receive the sentence during next week. This expelled student in Agricultural Engineering of International Qazvin University is the first student who has been arrested after Hassan Rohani’s presidency. She was sentenced by Qazvin Revolutionary Court to 1 year of suspended imprisonment in 2010 because of her activities as a student and blogger. |
