Majzooban Noor - More than 1000 Dervishes on Hunger Strike; Gonabadi Dervishes from Across the Country Will Gather in front of Tehran Prosecutor's Office Gonabadi Dervishes across the country have declared that they will stage a rally in front of Tehran Prosecutor's office to voice their objections. Subsequent to the announcement made by Gonabadi Dervishes residing in Lorestan Province and imprisoned Dervishes and political prisoners' families about their rally on 17 Esfand, other sufis from other provinces also declared that they would join the rally in front of Tehran Prosecutor's office to demand and stand up for the rights of those in custody for political and ideological reasons. According to a report by Majzooban Noor, Gonabadi Dervishes across the country condemned illegal and inhuman conduct toward imprisoned Dervish' lawyers and pledged their full support for the rally of the families of the jailed Dervishes in Evin in front dadsetani on Saturday, the 17th. In addition to the pleas they have in common with the other political prisoners' families, they are also calling for the transfer of the two exiled prisoners back to Evin Prison from Rajai-Shahr Prison, hospitalizing of the ill Dervishes, namely Hamid-Reza Moradi, Mostafa Daneshjou, and Afshni Karam-pour, in specialist hospitals, and an end to judicial and security authorities' illegal conduct. It is worth noting that, as imprisoned Dervish lawyers have gone on a hunger strike since Sunday in protest of the conduct judicial authorities have recently engaged in, Dervishes have also declared that they will be fasting till the day of the rally in solidarity with their imprisoned brothers. Also, subsequent to the news of the imprisoned Dervishes' hunger strike, a large number of Dervishes throughout the country have also joined in and announced that they will attend the rally in front of Tehran Prosecutor's office while on hunger strike. So far more than 1000 sufis outside prisons have joined the hunger strike. |
