Today, Saturday 15th March 2014, IOPHRI continued the series of street actions for the release of prisoners of conscience in Iran in Hamburg, Germany. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5TG6uP1_9uk&feature=youtu.be On February 28th 2014, in the frame of an exhibition ‘Iran’s heart beats’, a musical-poetic tribute to Rumi and the culture of Javanmard, organized by Amnesty in Lessing Wolfenbüttel, IOPHRI along with the Amnesty group Wolfenbüttel, held a street action for the detained cleric Ayatollah Boroujerdi. In Hamburg, we informed passers-by on the situation of political prisoners in Iran and chanted for the release of Zahra Rahnavard, Mir Hossein Mousavi and Mehdi Karoubi, who remain under house arrest, as well as for the imprisoned dervishes, who are on hunger strike, and all other prisoners of conscience We, as Europeans, will continue these actions by peaceful, musical, poetic and informative means until our demands are conceded by the regime in Iran. At the same time, we call on politicians, political parties and institutions in Europe, to do everything possible to realize the release of these prisoners.
