Iran Human Rights, March 24: According to reliable sources who have been in contact with Iran Human Rights (IHR), two Ahwazi Arab death row prisoners Ali Chebeishat, Sayed Khaled Mousavi have been transferred from the Dezful prison where they have been held, to unknown location. They were sentenced to death for security related charges but it is not known whether their death sentences were approved by the Supreme Court. Human rights defenders and the families of the two prisoners fear that their transfer from the prison might mean implementation of their death sentences.
Six other Ahwazi Arab prisoners have been executed in December 2013 and January 2014, without the families or the lawyers being noticed about the executions in advance.
IHR expresses strong concern about the well being of Ali Chebeishat and Seyed Khaled Mousavi and urges the international community to react.
