An imprisoned student sentenced to 10 years in prison

HRANA News Agency – The 10 years in prison sentence of Hamid Babai, the PhD student who was studying in Belgium, is confirmed by the appeal court.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Hamid Babai, the PhD student who was studying at the University of Liege in Belgium and had come to Iran for visiting his family, was sentenced to 10 years in prison on charge of espionage and cooperation with conflicting governments, in branch number 15 of revolutionary court, by chief judge Salavati, on December 21, 2013.

The sentence of this student is confirmed in branch number 54 of revolutionary court, by chief judge Movahed.

Need to be mentioned, Hamid Babai is currently kept in ward number 350 of Evin prison.
