No information about Behnam Irani’s whereabouts

HRANA News Agency – There is no information about Behnam Irani, the new converted to Christianity priest, who has been transferred to an unknown location more than ten days ago.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Behnam Irani has been transferred from hall number seven of Karaj central prison to an unknown location, on Sunday, June 8th.

An informed source who wanted to remain unknown told HRANA’s reporter, “we could not find any information about Behnam Irani and his family and relatives are worried”.

Behnam Irani had been arrested in 2006 for his religious activities and preaching at his house. He was released on the bail after several months.

The branch number 30 of Tehran appeal court sentenced him to conditional five years in prison, on charge of acts against the national security.

Then the security forces rushed to his house in Karaj and arrested him on April 14, 1020.

This time he was sentenced to one year in prison on charge of propaganda against the government which means he has to serve his conditional sentence as well.
