Nahavandian is a possible candidate for Iran’s representative to UN

TEHRAN - Mohammad Nahavandian, the presidential chief of staff, is considered as one of the possible candidates for Iran’s representative to the United Nations in New York.

Selecting Nahavandian as representative to the UN is a reasonable and good idea, university professor Sadegh Zibakalam says.

Nahavandian has lived in the U.S. for years and knows about U.S. politics and society very well, Entekhab news website quoted Zibakalam as saying on Sunday.

He stated that under the current situation that Iran wants to resolve tension with the U.S., Nahavandian would be the best choice.

Former MP Dariush Ghanbari has also said that Nahavandian is aware of the Iranian position, is familiar with international system and its function. He added that he can be one of the best candidates for the purpose.
